Making a difference: sustainability in O&M.

We pride ourselves on making a difference in the industry when it comes to sustainability, enhancing wildlife and habitats around our solar parks and, most of all, looking after our clients to the best of our ability.

From our Landscape Ecological Management Plans to our waste reduction efforts, we are constantly looking for ways to minimise our impact on the environment and operate in a more sustainable manner. We aim to create a more sustainable future for our planet and ensure that our operations have a minimal impact on the environment around us.

  • Reducing carbon footprint

We are always looking at ways to reduce our carbon footprint. Our monitoring team carry out regular tests to the highest granularity to ensure the most efficient use of our clients solar assets. Our Portfolio Managers ensure that all sites operate at the optimum performance to minimize our carbon impact.

  • Minimising nature disruption

At Ethical Power, we are committed to minimising any wildlife and nature disruption at every stage of our operations.

    • We plant wildflower and trees, enhancing the flora and fauna on and around the sites.
    • We enforce a policy of no works to start on site until 1 hour after sunrise and past 1 hour before sunset.
    • We add mammal gates around the security fencing to allow wildlife like foxes and badges in and around the site.
    • We consider the wildlife on site and leave open area grass cutting until late summer to allow a natural habitat for a wide range of wildlife to feed, nest and seek cover.
    • All our nighttime CCTV is done via night vision so there is no need for area to be lit up throughout the night.
  • Managing waste responsibly

We always try to minimise our waste and recycle our general waste. As we deal with a lot of electrical components and products, we do make sure that any of electrical waste is disposed of correctly and never sent to land fill. We also make sure any broken components from sites, such as inverters and panels, are sent off for recycling at designated facilities.

The Team looking after your sites.

From Land Management team to the Portfolio Managers, our Operations and Maintenance team manage all aspects of asset operations for your peace of mind.
