The Lynher Energy Fund.

Lynher Energy is a joint venture between Napier Park Global Capital and Ethical Power, established to invest in large-scale solar and battery storage assets in the UK and Europe. Napier Park has extensive experience in sponsoring industry-leading joint venture. Ethical Power has exceptional capabilities and knowledge in the development, construction, operation and maintenance of large and complex solar projects. This winning combination has the ability to develop high-quality, valuable assets while pursuing a long-term goal of reducing carbon consumption and transitioning toward green energy resources.

The fund operates a portfolio of solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) assets across the UK. The latest addition to the portfolio was the acquisition of the 26MW Twitch Hill Solar Farm development project in Shropshire in March 2023. The EPC contract has since been awarded to Ethical Power with energisation expected in early 2024.

As a vertically integrated renewable energy company we access intel from each stage of asset life, giving us unique opportunities to optimise investor returns.

The Hive-Ethical UK Solar Fund.

Ethical Power has been working in partnership with Hive Energy and CH1 Investment Partners LLP through an investment vehicle called Hive Ethical UK Solar (“HEUKS”). HEUKS ran a private equity fund which constructs, operates, and then sells solar investments. The fund was set up for a 5-year hold period while maintaining the flexibility to react to any opportunity for further investment or early divestment.

In July 2023, HEUKS successfully completed the sale of the last two assets in its portfolio, 5.1MW Netley North and 12.1MW Bullous Park solar farms, to Fuse Energy. The completion of this transaction represented a notable milestone for HEUKS in successfully delivering attractive returns to its stakeholders seeking to invest in renewable energy opportunities.
