On 3rd March 2025, an equity-for-debt restructuring was completed, whereby Hive Energy made a further investment into the Ethical Power Group, reacquiring the 50% shareholding from Greg Skinner (Sustainable Holdings). Founder and CEO, Thomas Kneen maintained a 50% share of the business.
Greg Skinner remains a key stakeholder by virtue of his material debt investment in both the Ethical Power Group and Hive Energy and remains committed to helping to electrify Britain.
Hive Energy’s resumed equity investment in Ethical Power Group will re-establish balance sheet support, will help shape a strategy focused on development and construction of assets and enable the Group to maximise the market opportunity, leveraging their combined strengths.
