The Twitch Hill Solar Farm project was developed by Low Carbon Alliance and received planning permission in July 2022. In March 2023, it was purchased by Lynher Energy.
As the primary contractor on the project, Ethical Power will complete the technical due diligence and construction of the project. Ground-breaking is expected in early 2024. Design engineering investigations and environmental surveys are already underway.
The project is expected to generate enough electricity to power nearly 6,000 homes. The layout plans span a 36ha site over primarily Grade 3b agricultural land. Significant biodiversity improvement measures have been included in the proposal, including planting of new hedgerows and wildflower meadows. The land enhancement activities will be overseen by Ethical Power’s Land Management team.
