We are proud to share that we have been recognised among the UK’s leading players in energy storage, earning a nomination for EPC Firm of the Year at this year’s Energy Storage Awards!
To cap it all off, three of the projects we built have been nominated for four other awards!
A panel of 19 renewables and clean tech leaders sifted through a record number of entries to select the best of the best for this year’s award ceremony, to be held in London on the 20th of November.
Being shortlisted as EPC Firm of the Year reflects our ongoing commitment to excellence in the engineering, procurement, and construction of complex energy storage and hybrid projects.
The award shines a light on innovative companies that play a critical role in the deployment of grid-scale and behind-the-meter solutions
This recognition reflects the dedication and expertise of our teams, who have delivered multiple complex, and many award-winning, battery storage and co-located renewable projects across the UK.
At Ethical Power, we continually refine our delivery models, strengthen collaboration, and embrace innovation to ensure the best outcomes for every project and client.
Being recognised among the industry’s top performers affirms our commitment to building more efficient and resilient clean energy infrastructure that supports the UK’s transition to net zero.
We aren’t stopping here, though, and the vision for 2026 is more exciting than anything we have done so far. With our experience in designing and delivering battery storage solutions and much-needed grid upgrades, we stand ready to help take the UK renewables ecosystem to the next level, so watch this space!
Proof that partnerships are the road to success
In addition to our own nomination, we’re thrilled that three separate projects delivered by Ethical Power have been shortlisted across several categories at the Energy Storage Awards. If there was ever further proof needed of the power of partnership, this is it!
The 57MW Sizing John BESS site, owned by Varco, was shortlisted for the “Best UK Project under 100MW” award.
Meanwhile, the RWE-owned Langford co-located solar and BESS project was shortlisted for the “Grid-Scale Co-located or Hybrid Energy Storage Project of the Year“.
We have long championed the power of co-locating solar PV and BESS to increase the resiliency and profitability of renewable energy projects, so to have two of our builds recognised for this in one year affirms that we are on the right track!
These shortlistings highlight the impact of effective collaboration and the technical expertise that goes into delivering some of the UK’s most advanced energy storage and hybrid systems.
Just last year, we won the “Utility Scale Solar and/or Storage Project of the Year” award at the Solar & Storage Awards 2024 for our work delivering the 50MW Berkeley BESS project.
We have delivered over 1 GW of BESS projects in the UK alone, and have helped many companies optimise and connect their projects. If you have a project in need of our award-winning expertise, reach out to us today or click on the link below to learn more about our Design and Engineering services.
