Doverdale Solar Farm is been successfully energised! This is the 2nd project we’ve completed for our client RWE within their first solar portfolio in the UK.
At the 50MW Doverdale Solar Farm, Ethical Power was the principal EPC contractor – we were responsible for the complete civil, mechanical and electrical installation on site. The site is now commissioned and exporting to the grid.
This was a very interesting project for us with special provisions and precautions in place due to heritage and ecological sensitivities – both elements carefully managed by our SHEQ and Site Teams to ensure no disruption to them or the project.
Altug Gumrukcu, Ethical Power’s Project Manager for the Brunel Portfolio, said: “We’ve had to overcome a few hurdles on this project but with a great and engaged team, we managed to successfully energise the site.
It’s great to see the Doverdale Solar Farm is now exporting to the grid providing much-needed power over the winter months and to know it is ready for its future expansion with the BESS element.”
Thanks to the project team: Safa Kocer, Shubham Kerimani and everyone else involved throughout the project!
