Creacombe consisted of just under 8MW of solar power with a 33kV high voltage grid connection and associated distribution network operator substation with a complex metering arrangement allowing two separate generation customers to be connected to the same grid connection leading to the most cost-effective solution. Ethical Power Connections construction package included the design, construction and commissioning of the 33kV contestable DNO substation, customer HV substation and 1.5km contestable cabling works. These works and site works were completed in just over 16 weeks enabling the customer to energise on time just before the new year and receive the OFGEM accreditation they set out to obtain.
